Shangai Auto Show

The Shanghai auto show and keeping tabs on Fisker Automotive’s drama kept the Autoweek Web team busy this week.
Monday, we focused our coverage on China. Significant reveals included the Icona Vulcano, Ford Escort and Buick Riviera. We posted a huge photo gallery, and a list of car companies you've probably never heard of.
In racing news, the body of an NHRA Funny Car flew into the stands, injuring two fans last weekend. Watch a spectator's video as the car's engine explodes and sends the carbon-fiber body flying into the stands.
On Tuesday, the all-electric Formula E prototype did a donut demo in Los Angeles, and we shared the video. We also reviewed the 2013 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid, and Tuesday evening, we posted spy shots of the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe.
Midweek, we reviewed the 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI, and watched Jaguar's short film "Desire."
Thursday, Audi revealed the TT ultra quattro, a lightweight concept that points to a limited production coupe, and we caught up on Henrik Fisker's congressional hearing. Fisker Automotive's former CEO got lambasted by Republicans, who discussed the start-up’s $200 million loan from the Department of Energy.
Rounding out the week, we spied the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro RS on Friday, and finally found out pricing details on the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. It turns out Chevy didn't boost the price for the redesign: it will start at $51,995, just $1,400 more than the 2013 model.
Be sure to check back with us this weekend as we cover NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series action from Richmond and NHRA at Royal Purple Raceway near Houston.

Car Transporation and Car Shipping

Car Transportation is becoming one of the fastest ways for American citizens to move their vehicles from one state to another. The Car Shipping process usually by a prospective shipper going on Google or other search engines to search for auto transport quotes, usually these sites will give a customer anywhere from 5 to 10 rates from different car carriers. When searching through the different quotes make sure to do research on every company that is quoting you. First make sure they are licensed with the DOT and have been in business for at least 1 year. Also check www.transportrankings.com to make sure they have good reviews from prior clients. Also make sure to prepare your vehicle for shipping most car carriers like to have the car empty and with less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Also be prepared to pay the COD to the carrier on delivery in the form of certified funds. Auto Transporters will not accept Credit Cards or Checks. Car transportation companies are now asking for top dollar to make up for the increasing cost of fuel. So make sure to go with a realistic quote not the lowest one you received. Auto Transport Companies like Transport Community or All Day Auto Transport are just a few that have been recommended to me before.
